PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a device including transition metal, such as Ni, as a main constituent of a positive electrode active material, using a halogen as a carrier, and operating at normal temperature or at a temperature close to it; and a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A device includes a positive electrode active material and an electrolyte in which the positive electrode active material is immersed. The positive electrode active material is transition metal selected from among V, Ni and Fe, or a chloride thereof. The electrolyte includes AlCland a salt comprising organic cations and halogens, while a mixed molar ratio between AlCland the salt is 1.02:1.0-1.5:1.0. |
