Disclosed are a content management method and system, the method comprising: a master control server, according to a received content issuance request, allocates for the to-be-issued content a merged file block and the storage position of each content in the corresponding merged file block, and transmits to a media storage-and-forward server a content download request containing the name of the merged file block and the storage position; the media storage-and-forward server downloads the to-be-issued content according to the content download request, and stores each downloaded content to the corresponding storage position in the corresponding merged file block. The content management method and system of the present invention store a plurality of small capacity content respectively to different positions in the corresponding merged file blocks in a file system, thus saving file system storage space, improving file system storage efficiency, and reducing file system storage cost. |
