[Problem] To switch between the presence and absence of a damper action according to the direction in which a seat rotates in a vehicle seat peripheral structure. [Solution] A seat apparatus (4) has a seat (42) that is rotatably attached to a storage box (41), and a damper device (83) that is disposed between the storage box and the seat. The damper device has: a cylinder (84); a piston (85), a piston rod (86); a male-side case (87) that receives the cylinder and is linked to the cylinder; a female-side case (88) that is linked to the piston rod and receives the male-side case in such a manner that the male-side case can move back and forth; and an impelling member (89) that impels the male-side case to protrude from the female-side case. The female-side case is rotatably supported by the seat, and the male-side case constitutes a free end (93), and is capable of being in sliding contact with a receiving member (55) disposed on the storage box.
