摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a crack and peeling by applying to a heat insulation layer a material having a thermal expansion coefficient closer to that of a base material of an engine component, to prevent deformation due to a combustion pressure and so on by strengthening the heat insulation layer, and to prevent penetration of fuel.SOLUTION: In a heat insulation structure in which a heat insulation layer is formed on a surface of a base material of a component constituting an engine combustion chamber, the heat insulation layer 11 includes silicone resin and hollow particles 12. The surface of the hollow particle 12 is processed with an organic compound capable of covalently bonding with the silicone resin, and thus the silicone resin and the hollow particles 12 are indirectly bonded with each other.
