PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor position and creep control device for an electric vehicle, and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: A motor position and creep control device 10 for an electric vehicle comprises a slope determination part 40 for determining whether or not to enter motor position control or creep torque control using detection information of a slope angle sensor for detecting a slope angle of a traveling passage when a brake is released after stop of the vehicle, a motor position control part 20 for calculating a motor torque to maintain a motor position and maintaining the motor position, and a creep torque control part 30 for generating a creep torque of the motor through time delay and controlling a motor speed at a constant level.
