The apparatus for detecting the life of a shaving blade (13) comprises a pressure sensor (21), an operating part (22), a processor (23), a memory device (24) and an alarm unit (25). When the shaving blade (100) is operating, the pressure sensor (21) detects the resistance of the razor blade (14) against the object being shaved to obtain a handling signal Su.
