The system (1) has a remote control key (2) with a push button for activation of unlocking and locking of a vehicle, a key receptacle (14) for inserting and supporting the remote control key in a reproducible position, and a key actuator that is provided with actuation units for actuating the push-button. A transmitter is provided with the key actuator for activating the actuator units in a lockable space of the vehicle. The transmitter cooperates with a radio reception unit. The transmitter and/or radio reception device and/or central unit communicate with each other. An independent claim is included for a method for automated transfer of remote control key between sharing participants.
