The device (1) has a milk line (2) for supplying milk from a milk storage container (3) e.g. milk bottle, to a milk foam device (4). A ring-like flow rate measuring sensor (11) and a chemical color change sensor are arranged in the milk line, and measure a pH value of the milk. A control device (14) controls supply of the milk based on a pH value measurement of the sensors. A balancing device (15) balances an actual pH-measuring value of the milk with a defined pH-measuring value of the milk. A display device (16) outputs information of the control device.
