PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for inspecting defect of a solar battery, configured to determine a defect with high accuracy, and to prevent damage in consideration of breakdown voltage of a solar battery cell, and to reduce inspection cost.SOLUTION: A defect inspection apparatus include: a main light source 14; a light source unit 19 having sub light sources 10A, 10B; a light source control circuit 29 for controlling operation of the light sources; an inspection pin switching circuit 28 for selectively supplying power to a string; a bias current extraction circuit 26 and a bias current cancelling circuit 25 for extracting a component corresponding to a bias current included in an output of the solar battery cell to cancel it; an image processing device 22; and a display unit 21. The light source control circuit irradiates a target solar battery cell of the solar battery cells supplied with power for each string with main light, and controls operation of the light sources so as to irradiate non-target solar battery cells with sub-light. |
