PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process which allows provision of a fuel tank with both a noise reduction baffle and a vacuum (negative pressure) resistance device and thereby provide a plastic fuel tank to withstand negative pressures in a leak tightness test of a fuel system, in an easy and flexible way, without limiting the internal volume of the tank or increasing its weight.SOLUTION: A plastic fuel tank comprises a noise reduction baffle and interference sections for suppressing tank deformation in the case of application of negative pressure to the tank. The interference sections are each arranged to project inward in the tank from an upper surface and a lower surface of the tank, and to be substantially opposed with a prescribed interval between the interference sections, one of these sections being part of a fixation device which secures the baffle to the tank wall. |
