PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic strengthening structure of a steel material, which can facilely and safely strengthen and stiffen the steel material, installed in a high place and the like with particularly inconvenient footholds in an existing structure, by a retrofitted buckling stiffener.SOLUTION: A buckling stiffener 3 comprising an open-type cross-section capable of covering a steel material from a lateral direction covers the steel material 2 in the state of not bearing an axial force. Both side parts of an opening of the buckling stiffener 3 are connected to a plurality of bolt holes, which are provided with a constant pitch in an axial direction, through bolts 4, and the buckling stiffener 3 is attached to the steel material 2. |
