In the diagnostic ultrasound apparatus (100) of an embodiment, a first rendering unit (16) generates a first rendered image by a first rendering method on the basis of volume data collected by three-dimensionally scanning a subject with ultrasonic waves. A second rendering unit (17) generates, on the basis of the volume data, a second rendered image by a second rendering method that differs from the first rendering method. A superimposition unit (18) generates a superimposed image in which the first and second rendered images are at least partially superimposed.
