An oil cooler (1) is formed by stacking flat tubes (2) on each other, each of the flat tubes (2) being formed by brazing a lower plate (21), a fin plate (23), and an upper plate (22) together. The inside of each of the flat tubes (2) serves as an oil channel (11). Oil flows in the longitudinal direction of the flat tube (2). The space between two adjacent flat tubes (2) serves as a cooling water channel (12). At the end of oil cooler (1) which serves as an oil inlet or an oil outlet, the lowermost flat tube (2) has a single opening (25A), and the flat tubes (2) at the second stage and the stages thereabove each have a pair of openings (25, 28) which are arranged symmetrically. In the flat tubes (2) at the second stage and the stages thereabove, oil having flowed into the oil cooler (1) spreads in the widthwise direction through the pairs of openings (25, 28), and as a result, the entire part of each flat tube (2) in the widthwise direction can be effectively utilized for heat exchange.
|
