The housing has a base body (2) for accommodating an electrohydraulic valve drive and closed by a cover (1). The cover is fastened to the base body over a pressed connecting bolt (3). The bolt has a back taper (7) on a casing surface (6) that is arranged in a fastening hole (4) of the base body. A projection formed in an inner side of the hole projects into the back taper. The bolt has a bolt head (11) that is elastically deformed against a curvature (12). The bolt is made from material harder than material of the base body. A sealing (13) is arranged between the cover and the base body. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a cover to a base body of a housing.
