PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive substance storage container capable of improving a neutron shielding function and of making trunnion simpler and more low-cost.SOLUTION: The container includes: a trunk 12 which forms a cylindrical having an opening 22 formed on one side and a bottom 23 formed on the other side, and is capable of storing radioactive substance inside the trunk; a lid part 13 which can be attached to the trunk 12 so as to block the opening 22; and a plurality of trunnions 41 having first thread parts 43 screwed into prescribed positions on a hooking part 42 for hanging and a periphery of the trunk 12.
