PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency telephone system and a telephone call testing method, capable of accurately confirming a voice call function of an emergency telephone without human work.SOLUTION: An emergency telephone 10 transmits a telephone call test message to a reception unit 30, starts a voice communication using a handset 13 with the reception unit 30 according to an answer message for the telephone call test message, and ends the voice communication according to a call end message from the reception unit 30. After returning an answer message to the emergency telephone 10 and starting a voice communication with the emergency telephone 10 in response to the telephone call test message from the emergency telephone 10, the reception unit 30 transmits a test voice to the emergency telephone 10, receives a wrapped around sound from the emergency telephone 10 to measure the level of the wrapped around sound in which the test voice is involved by the handset 13 of the emergency telephone 10, compares the measurement level with an acceptable level range to determine pass or failure of the voice communication test, and notifies the emergency telephone 10 of a voice communication end message. |
