The present invention relates to a dishwashing detergent, preferably a detergent for dishwashing in a machine, containing alkyl ether sulphate, and to a method for dishwashing in a machine using said dishwashing detergent. The invention further relates to the use of alkyl ether sulphate for removing soiling at low washing temperatures and for increasing the effect of a bleach system.
