The method involves determining a low-pass component (utp-t) of a digital signal (u-t). The high-pass component (uhp-t,u'hp-t) is determined to determine whether the quantization of determined high-pass component is more sophisticated than refined quantization of digital signal. The low-pass component derivative is obtained based on the determined low-pass component. The high-pass component derivative is derived and is obtained based on determined high-pass component. The derived low-pass component derivative and high-pass component derivative are overlaid with each other. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) device for deriving fixed quantization exhibiting digital signal; and (2) control device.
