PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a shim adjustment work to improve the assemblability of a rotation transmitting device in which engagement and disengagement of a two-way clutch are controlled by an electromagnetic clutch.SOLUTION: A cage 16 of a roller 15 in a two-way clutch 10 is composed of a control cage 16A and a rotary cage 16B, and the control cage 16A and the rotary cage 16B are combined so that pillar portions 22 and 26 formed on outer peripheral portions of flanges 21 and 25 are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction. A pocket 27 is formed between the pillar portions 22 and 26 adjacent to each other, and a pair of rollers 15 contained in the pocket 27 are pressed by the pillar portions 22 and 26 due to relative rotation of the control cage 16A and the rotary cage 16B to be displaced to a disengagement position. An elastic member 72 is inserted in a bushing 4 provided at one end of a housing 3, and a component accommodated in the housing 3 is biased toward a stop ring 6 disposed on an inner periphery of the other end of the housing 3 by the elastic member 72 to prevent rattling. |
