PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: functions to read information embedded in a paper medium and execute various types of image processing functions are compensated by service on a cloud computing environment; however, appropriate determination is required in the system as to which of a device and cloud service is used in executing the functions.SOLUTION: A system provides various types of functions of an image forming apparatus in cooperation between service on a cloud computing environment and a function of a device body. Cloud service analyzes an image on a paper medium having information embedded therein to perform the functions of the image forming apparatus. The cloud service determines whether the device has a function equivalent to the service. The system uses the function of the device when the function of the device is equivalent to the service, and uses the cloud service when the device has no function equivalent to the service. |
