PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for performing monitoring to watch the safety of a home environment by detecting an abnormality which has occurred in a house without depending on the activity situation of a person who exists in the house.SOLUTION: In a method for watching an environment in a house 10n in a multiple dwelling house by a control room 20, an odor sensor 12n is disposed in the house, and the environment in the house 10n in the multiple dwelling house is watched by the control room 20 by monitoring the odor sensor 12n. Also, when the measurement value of the odor sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold, a warning call is made to an intercom 13n in the house in which the odor sensor is disposed, and when any response to the warning call is not made within a predetermined time since the warning call is started, an absence abnormality alert indicating that an abnormality has occurred in the house in absence is issued. |
