PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement system that measures a fine shape, such as a small-diameter hole of a workpiece, a narrow groove or a projection of a small step difference in on-machine measurement of a machining center, with high accuracy, and ensures highly accurate machining by utilizing a result of measurement as a reference of machining, and to provide a machine tool including the measurement system.SOLUTION: A measurement system includes: an imaging apparatus 20 where an index provided in a known position on a table 2 and an optical axis are arranged parallel to a rotation axis of a main axis to image an object on the table 2; an image processing apparatus 24 for processing an image captured by the imaging apparatus 20 to convert it to measurement position information from the image of the object based on the optical axis; and a control apparatus 6 that performs various processing using the measurement position information. The control apparatus 6 determines relative position information between the rotation axis and the optical axis when the imaging apparatus 20 images the index, and converts the measurement position information to absolute position information based on the rotation axis on the basis of the relative position information. |
