The embodiments of the present invention provide a composite negative electrode material for a lithium ion battery, composed of graphite and a lithium intercalated transition metal oxide layer covered on the surface of the graphite, and the transition metal is selected from one or more of cobalt, manganese, nickel, and titanium. The coating of the lithium intercalated transition metal oxide layer can mask some active sites distributed on the surface of the graphite itself, therefore, during the first charge of the lithium ion battery, the active sites of the electrolyte and the graphite surface are reduced, thereby reducing the generation of an SEI membrane, and even not forming an SEI membrane, improving the cycle performance of a lithium ion battery, especially improving the high temperature cycle performances, and at the same time increasing the first coulombic efficiency of a lithium ion battery. The embodiments of the present invention also provide examples of a preparation process for a composite negative electrode material for a lithium ion battery, a negative electrode plate of a lithium ion battery and a lithium ion battery. |
