The circuit arrangement has a DC/DC converter whose output voltage (Ua) is galvanically isolated from an input voltage (Ue). An inductor and capacitor (LC) filter is configured to smoothen the voltage at the output of the DC/DC converter. The poles of the voltage (U1) with the poles of the voltage (Ub) are connected to a battery. A control and regulating device (ST) configured to regulate the output voltage of the DC/DC converter so that the required charging voltage (Ub) is applied to the battery. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a circuit arrangement.
