PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor that reduces pressure loss of a coolant, equalizes the temperature distribution, and provides effective cooling.SOLUTION: An armature 2 of a linear motor 100 has: a plurality of cooling pipe housing holes 60 that are formed along a longitudinal direction of a core 30; and cooling pipes 61 and 62 that are housed in a vertical direction inside of each cooling pipe housing hole 60 and that have zigzag shapes. Respective inlets 61c and 62c, and respective outlets 61d and 62d, of cooling pipes 61 and 62 that are vertically adjacent to each other are alternately connected in parallel to a coolant inlet 73a and a coolant outlet 73b in such a manner that a coolant flows in opposite directions in the cooling pipes 61 and 62. |
