In the present invention, a sensor node (101-i) requests another sensor node (101) to execute data processing and, if the request is not undertaken, makes it possible to execute either a first operation in which the execution of data processing is begun after waiting for charging, or a second operation in which the execution of data processing is not requested and the execution of data processing is begun after waiting for charging. The sensor node (101-i) compares an expected value for a first length of time until execution is resumed by said sensor node (101-i) or another sensor node (101) if the first operation is executed and a second length of time until execution is resumed by said sensor node (101-i) if the second operation is executed. On the basis of the comparison result, the sensor node (101-i) executes the operation requiring the shortest length of time until execution is resumed from between the first operation and the second operation.
