The display device is provided with a display (1), a ambient-light sensor (61) for detecting the ambient light level, a temperature sensor (62) for detecting the ambient temperature, and a control unit (60) for adjusting the brightness of the display light emitted by the display (1) on the basis of the acquired ambient light level and the temperature acquired at a predetermined cycle. The control unit (60) calculates the amount of change in the temperature acquired at a first timing and a second timing, and changes the period of the predetermined cycle on the basis of the calculated amount of change.</p> |
