摘要 <p>A method of X-ray based measurement of a multiphase flow passing through a measurement tube ah energy resolving matrix detector comprises the steps of: generating a polychromatic photon beam by one or more X-ray sources; passing a multiphase flow through a measurement tube; exposing of the matrix detector and providing two or more simultaneously acquired 2-dimensional images, whereas different images correspond to different energy levels of photons or energy bins; registering a polychromatic photon beam attenuated by said multiphase flow with an energy resolving matrix detector, whereas said matrix detector comprising pixels registering individual absorbed X-ray quanta and measuring the energy released by each X-ray photon; defining a certain number of energy bins; sorting the absorbed photons into the corresponding bins, whereas an output of each pixel consists of a number of quanta being sorted into corresponding bin within a certain integration time; measuring a flow velocity of individual multiphase flow constituents conducted by cross-correlation analysis of images produced by two or more consequent exposures. Also proposed is an X-ray based flow meter with energy resolving matrix detector.</p>
