The present invention relates to a structure with a cantilever box type girder for transverse multi-span rapid construction. A bridge or a covered structure comprises a plurality of girder assemblies which are arranged to be adjacent to each other and include box type girders installed in parallel in a direction perpendicular to a bridge and bound by a tendon connecting the girders in the direction perpendicular to a bridge to rapidly construct a bridge in a transverse direction. The girder assemblies have cantilever type protrusions on side surfaces of outer girders adjacent to each other and have a working space to install the tendon in a space occupied by the protrusions. Therefore, the present invention can facilitate the installation and pre-stressing work of a tendon by providing a working space for installing a tendon in a connection potion of the girder assemblies by manufacturing an external girder having the cantilever type protrusions in advance when the respective girder assemblies are separately pre-stressed, and can rapidly construct a structure in a transverse direction by constructing the multi-span structure in a transverse direction.
