PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin sheet for a solar battery, which is inexpensive, has improved hydrolysis resistance and heat resistance, and, further, can enhance conversion efficiency of the solar battery by an improved shielding property, and to provide a solar battery using the sheet.SOLUTION: The polyester resin sheet for a solar battery includes a polyester resin layer formed of one or a plurality of layers, the resin having a number average molecular weight of 18500 to 40000, and contains at least one layer containing titanium dioxide in an amount of 5 to 40 wt.%. The polyester resin sheet for a solar battery shows a transmittance of 0.005 to 10% for light having a wavelength of 300 to 350 nm, a relative reflectance of 80% or more but 105% or less, an apparent density of 1.37 to 1.65 g/cm, an optical density of 0.55 to 3.50, and optical density dispersion of 20% or less with respect to the center value. |
