&pgr;-TYPE PHTHALOCYANINE PIGMENT, PRODUCTION METHOD OF THE &pgr;-TYPE PHTHALOCYANINE PIGMENT, AND COLORED COMPOSITION USING THE &pgr;-TYPE PHTHALOCYANINE PIGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a &pgr;-type copper phthalocyanine pigment that improves color characteristic such as brightness and display characteristics such as a contrast ratio and has high stability of heat resistance and the like, and to provide a color filter using the pigment to be used for a color liquid crystal display device, a solid-state imaging device, and the like.SOLUTION: In an embodiment, a copper phthalocyanine pigment obtained by the reaction of phthalic anhydride, hemimellitic acid, urea and cuprous chloride in dimethyl formamide in the presence of ammonium molybdate is further treated to obtain a &pgr;-type copper phthalocyanine pigment showing a diffraction pattern by X-ray diffraction analysis shown in Fig.1.
