PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail device which can be installed without being nailed or screwed to a wall, a floor or a ceiling and causes less oscillation and displacement even when horizontal force is applied on a handrail.SOLUTION: A handrail device comprises a handrail structure which has: a plurality of columns 6; a handrail 7 installed between the columns 6; ceiling face pressing sections 8 which are arranged at upper portions of the columns 6 and pressed against a ceiling face; floor face pressing sections 10 which are arranged at lower portions of the columns 6 and pressed against a floor face 27; and vertical stretching force generation means 11 which provide the columns 6, the ceiling face pressing sections 8 and the floor face pressing sections 10 with stretching force against the ceiling face and the floor face 27. The handrail structure also has: horizontal shaft materials 3 which are laterally extended from respective columns 6; wall face pressing sections 4 which are arranged at edge portions of the horizontal shaft materials 3 and pressed against a wall face 30; and wall face pressing means to press the wall face pressing sections 4 against the wall face 30. |
