The present invention is a reception device for receiving a transmission signal transmitted from a transmission device by a MIMO transmission method. The signal detection unit (206) is provided with a transmission signal candidate search unit (301) that searches for a transmission signal candidate on the basis of a linear detection error by the reception signal and the channel estimation value, a transmission signal candidate generation unit (302) that generates a transmission signal candidate by subjecting an output from the transmission signal candidate search unit to hard decision, and a decision unit (303) that generates a bit log likelihood ratio by using the transmission signal candidate.
