A particle detection device (10) is a particle detection device for detecting particles derived from organisms. This particle detection device (10) is provided with: a collection sheet (12); a collection unit (21) that introduces particles in the air into the device and collects the particles on the collection sheet (12); a heating unit (31) that heats the particles collected on the collection sheet (12) so as to increase the fluorescence emitted from the particle; a fluorescence detection unit (41) that detects the fluorescence emitted from the particles collected on the collection sheet (12); and a transfer mechanism (51) that transfers the collection sheet (12). Due to this configuration, the particle detection device is able to be reduced in the measurement time and measurement cost.
