<p>A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for communication are provided in connection with WAN entity enabled discovery to for P2P communications. In one example, a WAN entity is equipped to obtain location information associated with a UE, allocate a peer discovery resource to the UE for use during peer discovery based at least in part on the obtained location information, and send a control message to the UE including the allocated peer discovery resource and one or more attributes associated with the peer discovery resource for use during peer discovery. In another example, a UE is equipped to send location information associated with a physical location of the UE to a WAN entity, receive a control message including a peer discovery resource and one or more attributes associated with the peer discovery resource, and use the peer discovery resource during peer discovery.</p> |
