PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device which can achieve an accurate limit torque by obtaining a torque limiter function without using a tolerance ring.SOLUTION: A body to be locked 30 (corresponding to a cored bar of a worm wheel 27) relatively non-rotatably fixed to the outer periphery of a steering shaft 3 has engaging recesses 42. A lock arm (lock member) 44 energized by an energizing spring 45 in a state where excitation of a solenoid 46 is released is engaged with the engaging recess 42 to achieve lock. When a predetermined or more rotating torque is loaded on the steering shaft 3 in a lock state, the lock arm 44 is driven to a lock release position by the action of a first cam surface 51 (or a second cam surface 52). |
