This invention provides a dynamo-electric machine in which connections between small coil groups constituting each phase of coil are simplified to achieve a corresponding reduction in the number of components and reduce manufacturing cost, and in which connections between windings constituting the small coil groups are designed so that axial dimensions are kept from increasing, and a reduction in size is achieved. A U-phase coil constituting an armature winding is provided with four first through fourth small coil groups (U101, U102, U201, U202) going once around in the circumferential direction, in which winding elements accommodated in slot pairs separated by an electrical angle of 360° are connected in series and formed in sequence in the circumferential direction. In the U-phase coil, winding ends in a group of inside-diameter-side winding ends are linked by crossover wires (711, 721), winding ends in a group of outside-diameter-side winding ends are linked by a crossover wire (821), and a parallel circuit is configured in which the series-connected first and fourth small coil groups (U101, U202) and the series-connected second and third small coil groups (U102, U201) are connected in parallel. |
