PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle body from being uselessly largely deformed, by further effectively relieving impact force, by preventing a side member of the vehicle body from easily buckling by the impact force in a head-on collision.SOLUTION: A plate material positioned on one side among outside plate materials 33 and 34 in a front bending part 26 of a side member 12, is formed in a cross-sectional U shape of opening toward the other side of a vehicle body 2, and a plate material positioned on the other side among the inside-outside plate materials 33 and 34 in a rear bending part 28, is formed in a cross-sectional U shape of opening toward the one side. A junction part of mutual respective lower end parts of the inside-outside plate materials 33 and 34 in a middle part member 27 and a junction part of mutual both outer flanges 35 and 35, are gradually displaced toward the side part side of one side from the side part side of the other side in the middle part member 27 toward the rear part side from the front part side of the middle part member 27. The middle part member 27 and front-rear bending parts 26 and 28 are respectively positioned under a swelling part 19 of a floor panel 16. |
