The spinning rotor has an annular permanent magnet (3) that is supported in a cavity. The annular permanent magnet is assembled from several magnetic segments for electric drive function. A carrier portion (2) is made of ferromagnetic material. A spinning housing (1) is supported in an end portion. The spinning housing is provided with an outer peripheral seam portion (21). A non-ferromagnetic ring (4) is supported at an external periphery of the carrier portion. A ferromagnetic ring (5) is supported at the external periphery of the carrier portion. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing spinning rotor.
