The invention relates to a filler neck device (10) for a urea tank in diesel-operated motor vehicles, with a filler neck (11), with a closure cover (13) releaseably held on the filler neck (11), and with an insert (12) which can be axially inserted into the filler neck (11) and which is provided with a preferably annular permanent magnet of a device (40) for protecting against refuelling with the wrong type of fuel, wherein the insert (12) terminates flush by its end face with an axially outer portion (23) of the filler neck (11), and the closure cover (13) engages around and over the outer circumference of the axially outer portion (23) of the filler neck (11) for releaseable fastening purposes.
