[Also in Division A2] Sorbic acid powder particles are coated with an edible hardened glyceride oil with a melting temperature in the range 40‹ to 90‹ C. such as hardened rape oil, castor oil, beef tallow and whale oil. The product is prepared by melting the hardened oil, adding and dispersing therein a fine powder of sorbic acid the temperature of the melted mixture being maintained below 90‹ C., and cooling the mixture by spraying into a low temperature chamber. |
