Method for adjusting various shine levels of radiation cured varnishes and use of same

<p>The method involves providing a coating formulation comprising a UV-curable binder, a reactive diluent and a photo-initiator in a layer having preset thickness. The coating formulation is transported on a conveyor system with a belt speed under suspension of short-wave UV radiation by a radiation source. The gloss levels of obtained coatings are measured. The correlation curve is created by plotting the short-wave UV radiation dose to the degree of gloss. The desired gloss level is selected and the necessary short-wave UV radiation dose is determined using the correlation curve.</p>
