PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel that efficiently drives a lens frame while reducing the size of the lens barrel, and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The lens barrel (20) includes: a holding member (30) holding an optical system; a first guide shaft (51) extending in the direction of the optical axis of the optical system, and engaged with the holding member so as to be moved; and a second guide shaft (52) disposed to face the first guide shaft with respect to the optical system, and engaged with the holding member. The holding member includes: a first engaging section (31F) and second engaging section (31R) disposed along the extending direction of the first guide shaft and engaging with the first guide shaft; a third engaging section (32) engaging with the first engaging section and the second engaging section at an equal distance with respect to the optical axis of the optical system and engaging with the second guide shaft; and a driving section (33) disposed between the first guide shaft and the circumferential edge of the optical system and used for driving the holding member in the direction of the optical axis.
