There is disclosed a mounting assembly 8 for structurally mounting a peripheral device 6 to a portable computer 4. The mounting assembly 8 comprises a bracket 10 arranged to be structurally secured to the portable computer 4 and comprising a first coupling 22; and a second coupling 20 which in use is attached to or part of the peripheral device 6. The first and second couplings 22, 20 are arranged to be releasably engaged to form a structural connection, such that in use the peripheral device 6 can be structurally mounted to the portable computer 4. There is also disclosed a portable computing apparatus 2 comprising a portable computer 4, a peripheral device 6 and a mounting assembly 8; and a electronic entry control board 2 for mobile telemetry monitoring apparatus comprising a portable computer 4, a wireless communication unit 6 and a mounting assembly 8. |
