<p>The method involves transmitting a signaling message for signaling a communication request from a telecommunication device (110) i.e. voice over internet protocol telephone, to another telecommunication device (120) via a signaling protocol (310) i.e. session initiation protocol. A signaling message for acknowledgment of request is transmitted from the device (120) to the device (110). Signaling data, which are contained in the messages, are transmitted from the device (120) to the device (110) and/or vice versa by media transmission protocols (320, 330) e.g. real-time transport protocol.</p> |
