<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording device capable of normally terminating search processing for searching a recorded area terminal of a test area even if a searched position corresponds to a damage position in the recorded area. <P>SOLUTION: An optical disk recording device comprises: an optical pickup; a servo control part for servo-controlling the optical pickup; a determination part for writing test data in a test area of an optical disk and determining an optimum recording power value of the optical pickup. When the optical disk is a write-once optical disk, the determination part performs search processing for searching a recorded area terminal of the test area by bifurcation searching. When servo deviation relating to the servo control occurs during the search processing and the servo deviation cannot be recovered, tracing is carried out from a predetermined position of the test area to find the recorded area terminal of the test area (step S130). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
