PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect features of distribution of singular parts on the surface of a product. SOLUTION: An apparatus 100 for detecting features of distribution of singular parts includes: a processing target image generation part 10 for generating a processing target image from a surface image acquired by an image acquisition part 2; a singular pixel coordinate acquisition part 11 for acquiring the coordinates of a singular pixel in an orthogonal XY coordinate system on the processing target image; an auxiliary line drawing part 12 for drawing an auxiliary line by using two coordinates of the singular pixel; a coordinate system transformation part 13 for transforming a combination of route lengths into coordinates of an orthogonal parameter coordinate system by using the orthogonal parameter coordinate system using route lengths following a predetermined rectangular frame from an origin point up to respective two intersection points between the predetermined rectangular frame and the auxiliary line and counting the transformation frequency in each coordinate; and a straight feature detection part 14 for detecting a straight feature formed by the singular pixel based on the analysis of the counted results. The straight feature detection part 14 restricts a coordinate range to be an analytical target of counted results according to the straight characteristic of a detection target.
