<p>The current invention relates to a method, mobile node, mobile access gateway, home agent, system and computer-readable medium for handover of a mobile node from an access network supporting network-based mobility to an access network not supporting network-based mobility in a packet switched communication network comprising at least the mobile node, a mobile access gateway, a correspondent node and a home agent. The method comprises the steps of performing proxy route optimisation towards the correspondent node by the mobile access gateway on behalf of the mobile node. Handover from the access network supporting network-based mobility to the access network not supporting network-based mobility is performed when the mobile node moves out of the access network supporting network-based mobility. It is determined whether the proxy route optimisation is to be maintained after the handover from the access network supporting network-based mobility to the access network not supporting network-based mobility and if so information regarding the proxy route optimisation is sent to the mobile node by the home agent.</p> |
