An image forming device and a method thereof are provided to print and match colors automatically without at least one of developers, thereby improving the printing and the automatic color matching. A color which is not used is selected during print(S810). It is determined whether to satisfy a condition in which it is accessed to an automatic color matching state(S815). In a plurality of developers, it is determined whether each developer is installed and whether remaining toner of each developer is left(S820). It is determined whether a toner amount of at least one of the developers is smaller than a threshold value, and at least one of the developers is separated(S825). When the toner amount of at least one of the developers is smaller than the threshold value, and at least one of the developers is separated, automatic color matching is performed by using the other developers except for the developers whose remaining toner is insufficient or which are separated(S830). When printing is required, a print job is performed by only a printable developer among the plurality of developers(S840,S850). |
