<p>A containment system includes a bounded container having a shaped rim region and a sealing multi-hinged lid system engaging respective rim regions and respective closing lid members. Closing lid members are optionally hingably engageable with the bounded container and provide optional staged or simultaneous closing. A rim-lid interface and a lid-lid interface are discontinuous to aid sealing. Adaptive gasketing arrangements allow for enhanced sealing. In each embodiment, an interfitting arrangement provides a positive compressive urging proximate respective contact regions where the lids and the shaped rim interfit, and between lids, to provide air and moisture resistance to the containment system. Optional adaptive hinges allow positive lid positioning throughout a lid swing arc and also enable operative stacking. The current sealing system interfaces may be adapted to consumer product items and other industrial and commercial purposes without departing from the scope of the present invention.</p> |
